Summary The Italian DPA has imposed a fine of EUR 60,000 on Limit Call S.r.l.s. for unauthorized telemarketing. The controller had acquired lists of personal data without checking the legality of the data transfer, e.g. whether the data could also be used for commercial purposes or whether the data subjects had given their consent. In addition, it was not checked whether the telephone numbers called were entered in the public objection register.
