Summary | The Spanish DPA (AEPD) has imposed a fine of EUR 1,000 on an owners’ association. The controller had unlawfully installed a video surveillance system in a residential complex which recorded, among other things, common areas such as the swimming pool, as well as parts of the public space. In addition, video cameras were installed in the rooms where the guards of the residential complex dressed, without any notice being given. The DPA considered this to be a violation of the principle of data minimization. |
